Today God says:
  "I will never leave you".

He promises me:
"I will never leave you, or forsake you". (Heb. 13:5)

My response to the word:
God's presence is the environment of my life. "For in Him we live, and move, and have our being". I will practice His presence throughout this day as I continue to abide in Him. I claim the prayer promise that Jesus stated so clearly, "If you abide in me, and My words abide in you, you shall ask anything you will, and it shall be done for you". I believe the Scripture that tells me that I am a temple of the Holy Spirit. God dwells in me. Greater in He that is in me than he that is in the world.

My prayer:
Lord, I thank you for your presence which cheers me, strengthens me, and guides me. I know you will never leave me or forsake me. I will abide in you throughout this day.

Today's scriptures:
"Certainly, we live, move, and exist because of Him". (Acts 17:28 GW) "Don't you know that your body is a temple that belongs to the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit, whom you received from God, lives in you". (1 Cor. 6:19 GW) "Dear children, you belong to God. So you have won the victory over these people, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world". (1 John 4:4 GW)

Quote for today:
The Christian's chief occupational hazards are depression and discouragement. (John Stott)
