Today God says:
"I will preserve you from all evil".

He promises me:
"The Lord shall preserve you from all evil: He shall preserve your soul. The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and for evermore". (Ps. 121:7,8)

My response to the word:
I receive and believe God's promises of preservation. He will preserve me from all evil throughout this day. He will preserve my coming and going throughout this day as well. Indeed, He will preserve me for evermore. Today, whenever I am presented with the choice between two evils, I will choose neither; when presented with the choice between two goods, I will choose both.

My prayer:
God, my Father in heaven, thank you for your protective love in my life. I know that I have no reason to fear evil any longer because you have promised to preserve me from all evil. I claim your promise for this day.

Today's scriptures:
"Forgive us as we forgive everyone else. Don't allow us to be tempted". (Luke 11:4 GW) "In order to free us from this present evil world, Christ took the punishment of our sins, because that was what our God and Father wanted". (Gal. 1:4 GW) "For this reason, take up all the armour that God supplies. Then you will be able to take a stand during these evil days". (Eph. 6:13 GW)

Quote for today:
When anger enters the mind, wisdom departs. (Thomas a Kempis)
