Today God says:
  "I am the door".

He promises me:
"I am the door of the sheep. Whoever enters through Me shall be saved". (John 10:9)

My response to the word:
Jesus is the doorway into a new dimension - a higher dimension of living - for me. He wants me - His sheep - to go through the door into His green pastures of rest and provision. I accept His offer, and I will walk through the door, realizing that the Lord is my Shepherd, therefore "I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul: He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake".

My prayer:
Lord, thank you for shepherding me. I choose to lie down in the green pastures you have provided for me. Thank you for leading me beside the still waters, and for restoring my soul. I will walk in the paths of righteousness for your name's sake.

Today's scriptures:
"The Lord is my Shepherd. I am never in need. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside peaceful waters. He renews my soul ….Even though I walk through the dark valley of death, because you are with me, I fear no harm". (Ps.23:1-4 GW) "I came so that my sheep will have life and so that they will have everything they need". (John 10:10 GW) "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through Me". (John 14:6 GW)

Quote for today:
I understood these words, "The just shall live by faith". I felt born again like a new man: I entered through the open doors into the very Paradise of God. (Martin Luther)

On this day:
On 13th January 1948, Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) sent its first aircraft from Croydon, England to Africa on a survey mission before beginning missionary work. It now has aircraft and crew working in many difficult parts of the world, bringing spiritual, medical and humanitarian help.
