Today God says:
"I will pour out an abundant blessing upon you and yours".

He promises me:
"Prove me now, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground". (Mal. 3:10,11)

My response to the word:
God wants me to tithe my income and give offerings to Him. This I will do faithfully. He promises me that He will pour out a blessing upon me that will be so great that I will not have room enough to receive it. He also promises to rebuke the devourer for my sake. I rejoice in the certain knowledge that His blessings are being poured out of the very windows of heaven, and Satan no longer has a right to bring destruction to me or mine.

My prayer:
Loving Lord, I have freely received so much from your hands. I commit myself to return my tithes to you and give freely at every opportunity. Thank you for your blessings in my life.

Today's scriptures:
"These are all the blessings that will come to you and stay close to you because you obey the Lord your God". (Deut. 28:2 GW) "Blessings cover the head of a righteous person, but violence covers the mouth of wicked people". (Prov. 10:6 GW) "Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through Christ, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer". (Eph. 1:3 GW)

Quote for today:
I firmly believe a great many prayers are not answered because we are not willing to forgive someone. (D L Moody)

On this day:
On 14th March 1872, Journalist Henry Stanley and explorer-missionary David Livingstone part company, having spent the last five months in Africa together. Stanley returned to England to write his bestseller, How I Found Livingstone. Livingstone, in the meantime, got lost again—in a swamp literally up to his neck. Within a year and a half, he died in a mud hut, kneeling beside his cot in prayer. On 14th March 1961, the New Testament of the New English Bible was simultaneously published by both the Oxford and Cambridge University Presses. The complete Old & New Testament of the NEB was published in 1970.
